Barbara May Kurnick nee Altman, 88, beloved wife of the late Lester; loving mother of Edward (Marcie) and the late Richard Kurnick; cherished grandmother of Daniel and Jeffrey Kurnick; devoted sister of Dr. David (the late Donna) Altman; dear friend and sister-in-law of Ethel (the late Dr. Howard) Kurland; fond former mother-in-law of Kathy Krohn; many, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was dearly loved by all she met and will be truly missed. Graveside service, Monday 12 PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Richard and Lester Kurnick Youth Fund at Congregation Beth Shalom, www.bethshalomnb.org. barb was a treasured weather witch……her powers were quite evident at rich and my wedding on longboat key…..best matzoh ball soup…always up for most anything…..may her memory be a blessing
